Our Story

photo-focus.jpg

When we first met at the university library in Patras,

no one could have guessed that this relationship would take us to Brussels… and back.

We were two young people looking ahead — each toward their own horizon.

Since then, we’ve lived through days filled with books, nights with wine, and months chasing dreams that kept us awake in the best and worst ways.

The dream became urgency, and somehow, this turned into a relationship where work became a vessel for joy and creation.

Charis chased his own kind of “far,”

Vasiliki her own version of “beyond” — but somehow, we kept meeting again.

Making Kazantzakis’ words — “reach where you cannot” — a shared madness and a common path.

A “together” that kept changing each time we rediscovered each other — and ourselves.

Every year, a new kind of love.

Every struggle, a deeper connection.

And today, we’re celebrating exactly that:

the togetherness we’ve already built — with the people we love, by the sea, with music and light.

Charis

Charis was born on a cold Sunday morning in February of '92 from Nikos and Dimitra.

He is not one to stay still.

He studied computer engineering, but didn’t stop there —

he moved through support lines, network architecture, high-pressure projects,

and now designs AI solutions for companies building the future.

He likes solving problems before they even show up.

He finds ways. He makes things work.

You’ll rarely find him sitting for long.

If he’s not out running, he’s fishing.

If he’s not fishing, he’s organizing whatever can be organized.

And if he’s doing none of those, he’s probably chewing his nails —

thinking about his next project, whether it’s for work or for the house.

In the relationship, he brings the surprise, the energy, the motion —

and that “let’s just do it now” momentum that breaks you out of any rut.

And even though he lives in constant motion,

he always finds space to listen —

even when you’re talking about theories that have absolutely no code.

Vasiliki

Vasiliki is a summer child. Born to Christos and Georgia on a warm Saturday evening of '97.

She is of quiet strength.

An educator who doesn’t fit in boxes,

dreaming of schools that look more like society and less like the past.

She came to Brussels looking for people who also believe that education has a soul —

and somewhere in between found herself deep in social theory texts

that, for some mysterious reason, bring her peace.

She treasures calm.

Not just quiet — the kind of stillness that gives thoughts room to grow.

If she’s not reading, she’s dreaming.

If she’s not dreaming, she’s reshaping the world in her mind.

And if she’s not doing any of that, she’s bothering Charis, starting with a

“Love, do you know what came to my mind?”

…which is always followed by his:

“How could I know what goes on in this cute head of yours!”

In the relationship, she brings calm, reflection,

and a soft-spoken “should we look at this differently?” that anchors everything.

She often feels anxious — because she can’t wait to turn her dreams into reality… yesterday.

Their Days

They split their time between Brussels and Greece.

In Brussels, they chase the intangible — ideas, projects, and dreams scribbled on their window with whiteboard marker, hoping (if all goes well) they lead to the next adventure.

In Greece, they chase time.

Trying to see everyone they love, squeeze in a drink, a hug, a table full of food —

without missing the chance to pause and breathe by the sea.
Somewhere in between, they build their “here.”
